ORGANIC FARMING OVER THE BANKS OF GANGA

On the festive days of Gangotsav and under the Namami Gange project, the agriculture department of India will be promoting organic farming over the banks of Ganga. The concept of Organic farming will be used for forming clusters of 50 acres and thus, for this, the farmers will be given a grant amount of Rs. 14500 per hectare. Even, the free inputs will be provided to the farmers along with the equipment, cow dung fertilizers, seeds, and so on for organic farming by the Agriculture Department.

Even the availability of green manure will be made to the farmers like phosphorus-rich organic materials, Jivamitra (cow urine, jaggery, gram flour), and so on by the Agriculture department only. In addition to this, the farmers will be given training for effectively utilizing these inputs.
