GANGOTSAV IN INDIA 2023

Gangotsav is a concept of Ganga Festival given by IDPTS

The word Gangotsav derived from the name of pious river Ganga.
Ganga Utsav=Gangotsav, means a celebration nearby Ganga. The river Ganga flows in Five states Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal. And people from these five states having different religious and cultural beliefs respect Ganga as a river that blesses them prosperity not only in mythological means, but also in physical means. Ganga is blissful as it provides drinking and irrigation water, fertile land and making it easy for people to live with prosperity.

It is a festival of cultural, traditional and spiritual vibrancy. We are planning to arrange this Holy river festival in Sonpur district of Bihar that is located on the bank of Ganga. Organization of Gangotsav on the bank of holy river Ganga in this city of religious significance, will connect people of different states of India and countries of the world. This mass gathering will create employment opportunities for local inhabitants, and also add a helping hand to the economy of the state through the revenue generated through tourism and various cultural organizations.

Origin, History and Significance of Ganga

The river Ganga flows from the heights of Himalayas continuously giving blessings to every people and inhabitants residing on its bank. It had never discriminated among its deities, rather kept on giving its blessings with sweet water and fertile land to people of every religion, caste and creeds. The objective behind the arrangement of this pious river festival is to give a strong message of India’s long years of inheritance of unity in diversity. We believe when we arrange Ganga festivals, it will not only give a reason to get people of different religious beliefs to come together, but also generate a source of revenue for government and local nationals. The river Ganga has significance not only for those who have belief in Hindu religion, but also those who are Sikhs, Jains, and buddhists. Since time immemorial, the Ganges has been revered as a sacred life source. A bath in the sacred River, according to Hindu mythology, can wash one's body, mind, and soul of all sins. Gangotsav is a five-day festival honoring the Ganges River. The Gangetic plains are one of the most fertile parts of the country, and the Ganga is loved and its splendor honored because it is thought to be the nation's life stream... India's cultural, religious, and traditional capital, is also honored throughout the event. It is a city where Hindu culture and way of life have been preserved for centuries.

पर्यटन विभाग निजी निवेशकों के माध्यम से पटना और सोनपुर के बीच स्थित सबलपुर दियारा को पर्यटक केंद्र के रूप में विकसित करेगा। इसे गंगा धाम का रूप देने की तैयारी है। पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करने के लिए गंगा संग्रहालय, कन्वेंशन सेंटर और स्टेडियम आदि का निर्माण किया जाएगा। मां गंगा की करीब 101 मीटर ऊंची प्रतिमा भी लगाने की भी योजना है। इन सारे विकल्पों को ध्यान में रखते हुए डीपीआर बनाने को कहा गया है। इसके बाद राज्य सरकार के समक्ष इसे विचार के लिए रखा जाएगा।
